It Takes Time, Don’t Worry!

Saturday, March 14 2015 Moving to Hong Kong and fitting in to a new circle of friends have never been easy for me. It is surely fun because it is a new beginning but, at the same time, you have to forget being in your comfort zone with the people you are familiar with.

Little by little, you finally start to know your friends better. You get jealous to the one who eats so much but never gets fat, amazed by the one who never dated anyone in her life, get annoyed by the study-freak-metrosexual guy and many more unique types that you never met before. Nevertheless, you realise that you’ll never find a group of people who are clique with you in everything, like your high school best friends do and you need time to accept with that fact.

This afternoon, with no plan before, my friends and I went to Kowloon Park to take some beauty photos (with ourself in it). This is a habit I always do back then in Jakarta with my sister and close friends but never did it again in Hong Kong since I am afraid my friends will think I’m weird. However, as the time goes, I find out that some of my girl friends love  to the same thing and we plan to do this thing more in HK!

What I meant with ‘beauty photo’ HAHA #feelsocool

This simple amateur photo session proves me one thing. It takes time to get along with your friends. Don’t worry about not having that one friend who-will-always-be-in-your-side, that doesn’t mean they don’t like you. It is just how friendship in university works. Get to know as many people as you can from different countries and figure out something in common between you guys!
